Victims Unit approached its mission and strategic offer to the municipalities of Antioquia
The entity participated in the Institutional Offering organized in Rionegro (Antioquia) to promote the articulation of projects for the progress of the region.
The new mayors of Antioquia municipalities learned about the missionary offer and the strategic processes of the Unit for Comprehensive Care and Reparation for Victims to articulate with the territorial entities the projects in favor of this population and thus fulfill their responsibility in the implementation of the Victims Law.
The scenario for the local leaders to know the public policy of reparation to the survivors of conflict was the Institutional Offer organized by the Presidential Ministry for the Regions and carried out in Rionegro, with the participation of 40 national and Antioquia entities to manage projects to regional development
The general director of the Victims Unit, Ramón Alberto Rodríguez Andrade, attended to the mayors of the municipalities with population affected by the armed conflict to publicize the specific offer for the regions, such as return plans and relocation of displaced persons, of collective reparation and subsidiary mechanisms.
"We participate in this macro-test with other government institutions because it is important that the mayors know the mission and strategic lines and everything related to the public policy of reparation for victims so that they can include them in their development plans", said the official.
Regarding the specific offer for the municipalities, Rodríguez indicated that “they can access social and community infrastructure projects, psychosocial attention and emotional recovery, as well as strategic lines of collective reparations, prevention of victimizing events and emergencies under a subsidiary money mechanism and species".
Region with the highest investment
The director also announced a new day of delivery financial compensation to more than 750 survivors of conflict next week in Medellin and recalled that in Antioquia the Victims Unit has invested a total of 2.81 billion pesos in individual reparation of more of 250,000 victims, humanitarian and emergency aid, community infrastructure projects and subsidiary support to territorial entities.
"This second Institutional Offer is an ideal space to facilitate the rapprochement between more than 30 government entities, seeking that the 125 municipalities of Antioquia have the possibility to boost their projects and ideas for regional development", said Karen Abudinen at the end , Presidential Counselor for the Regions.
During the event the culmination of almost 50 high-impact works in Antioquia was announced, with a total investment of $ 514,850 million pesos in road construction, rural housing, aqueducts and sewers, airport improvements.
