The Unit for the Victims will begin pedagogy on the Special Peace Seats on October 22nd
This was announced by the entity in a Facebook Live regarding this exclusive electoral process to choose victims for the House of Representatives in March next year.
The Unit announced pedagogical trainings on the election of the Special Peace Seats for the House of Representatives from October 22nd to 29th.
In the Facebook transmission it was explained that, according to August 25th, 2021's, Legislative Act, the Unit “will launch the socialization and pedagogy sessions of the Victims 'Peace Seats to promote and ease victims' participation from the municipalities of the Special Transitory Peace Districts during 2022-2026 and 2026-2030 periods” on the aforementioned dates.
Based on the Peace with Legality strategy, and through an open call, the pedagogy in question will be carried out in 29 PDET municipalities in 16 regions.
The municipalities where pedagogy will begin are from the following areas: Alto Patia and Norte del Cauca; Arauca; Bajo Cauca and Nordeste Antioqueño; Catatumbo; Cuenca del Caguan and Piedemonte Caqueteño; Choco; Macarena-Guaviare (Meta-Guaviare); Montes de Maria; Pacifico Medio; Pacifico y Frontera Nariñense; Putumayo; Sierra Nevada del Perija; Sur de Bolivar; Sur de Cordoba; Sur de Tolima and Uraba-Choco.

People interested in these training sessions can enter www.unidadvictimas.gov.co to access all the information on the Special Transitory Peace Districts, as well as the places and dates.
All citizens can pre-register and fill out the form to be part of the training on the process of choosing the Special Peace Seats.
The entity also pointed out the main calendar dates for the Peace Seats Election. Candidate registration will begin on November 13th and will end on December 13th. Finally, the extraordinary identification in the Special Districts and the certificates registration to participate in the election of the 16 new representatives to the Chamber ends on January 13th, 2022.
