99 families received support to start their ventures, in Pradera
These are people who are part of the return and relocation process and who receive support from the Victims Unit.
A total of 99 families from the municipality of Pradera (Valle del Cauca) received support to start or strengthen their enterprises, with inputs provided by the Victims Unit.
“They are Special Family Support Schemes with what is necessary for stores, beauty salons, fast food businesses, ice cream parlors or bakeries (among other types of undertakings). With this we seek to make a significant contribution to guarantee the income of these families who have been returned or relocated after suffering forced displacement due to the armed conflict”, said Luz Adriana Toro Vélez, territorial director of the entity in Valle del Cauca.
Pradera is one of the three municipalities in the department (along with Florida and Buenaventura) that have a Development Plan with a Territorial Approach, PDET.
This delivery is part of the compliance by the national government of the policy of Peace with Acts in the prioritized municipalities with Development Programs with a Territorial Approach (PDET).
In this municipality it is estimated that there are 6,959 victims of the armed conflict, which means 14.4% of its population.
