Victim community in Charalá received a truck to promote a coffee production project
The population of Riachuelo subject of collective reparation hopes, with this delivery, to strengthen its project of becoming a coffee marketing power in Santander.
As part of one of the restitution measures contemplated in the comprehensive repair plan, the Victims Unit delivered a truck-type vehicle to Riachuelo Agricultural Producers Association (Asproriachuelo) belonging to Riachuelo Collective Reparation Subject, in Charalá, (Santander).
"This vehicle will strengthen the commercialization of its product without so many intermediaries, which will generate an improvement in the quality of life of the association of the inhabitants of Riachuelo", indicated the director of Santander Territorial of the Victims Unit, Gonzalo García Bautista, during the delivery of the truck, which was attended by delegates from the Attorney General's Office, Ombudsman's Office, and the Mayor's Office of Charalá.
The project includes the production of coffee through a processing plant, which seeks to be distributed throughout the department as a 100% product developed by victims of armed conflict in Charalá.
“The Victims Unit has been fulfilling our community with each of the measures contemplated in the subject. The delivery of this truck is a historic day for Riachuelo and for all of us who had to live the consequences of the war” said the president of Asproriachuelo and member of the committee to promote the subject of collective reparation, Carlos Alberto Monsalve.
During the visit, the infrastructure of the health post in La Falda hamlet was also handed over.
