The Victims Unit has delivered more than $18 billion for compensation to victims of Santander, in 2020
The entity has not stopped working on any of its individual and collective repair strategies despite the Covid-19 contingency.
At SENA headquarters in Bucaramanga, the Victims Unit delivered $ 264 million corresponding to compensation for the victim population of Girón and Piedecuesta.
With this day and so far in 2020, the entity has delivered more than $ 18 billion in compensation through administrative and judicial channels in the 81 municipalities in which Santander has jurisdiction.
Blanca Jaimes, a victim with a disability residing in Floridablanca, thanked the Unit for continuing with the notification of compensation despite the health emergency. "I'm very grateful. When I received the call, I was moved because I know that the Unit is serving the victims. With these resources I want to start a business with my children, I am going to invest it very well”, he stressed.
The Unit will continue with the process of compensating the victims for the remainder of this year in Santander, based on collective reparation strategies, returns and relocations and notification of letters of compensation by different municipalities of the department.
