The Victims Unit deliver reparatory compensation to victims of four municipalities in the South of Bolívar
The Magdalena Medio territorial unit of the Unit plans to deliver 92 indemnities in the municipality of Barrancabermeja (Santander) in the coming days.
The House for the Elderly in the municipality of Morales (Bolívar), served as the stage for the delivery of 42 letters of compensation totaling about 233 million pesos, by the Magdalena Medio Territorial Directorate of the Victims Unit.
The beneficiaries of these deliveries were victims of armed conflict residing in the Bolivarian municipalities of Norosí, Río Viejo, Arenal and Morales.
According to Amparo Chicué Cristancho, director of the Victims Unit in Magdalena Medio, "we made the delivery by implementing all the biosecurity protocols due to the health emergency".
During the day, which was accompanied by the Ombudsman and the municipal Administration, “support and advice were also provided for the adequate investment of resources, inviting people so that, with the money they receive for compensation, they invest in their productive projects , acquisition or improvement of housing, or in education; Likewise, they were made aware of the anti-fraud campaign ‘do not believe everything you hear’, so that they are not scammed by unscrupulous people and they were reminded that all procedures before the entity are free”, added the official.
For next week the Magdalena Medio territorial of the Unit plans to deliver 92 indemnities in the municipality of Barrancabermeja (Santander).
