Collective reparation advances in Wayúu shelter of Nuevo Espinal
Before the governor's council and in the presence of a large part of the group that integrates the guard, the Unit officials presented the Comprehensive Repair Plan.
As far as the lofty area of Nuevo Espinal in the Serranía del Perijá, jurisdiction of the municipality of Barrancas (La Guajira), the Cesar-La Guajira territory of the Victims Unit arrived, in order to establish a dialogue with the Wayúu indigenous authorities, for socialization facing the process of collective reparation of the community settled in the reservation of the same name.
In this native, ancestral and sacred territory for this indigenous ethnic group rooted in the department of La Guajira, the Unit's officials, after participating in a harmonization process as a show of respect for the authorities and traditional uses and customs, held a Community dialogue on the measures for the Comprehensive Collective Reparation Plan (PIRC), Nuevo Espinal.
The governor's council Álvaro Ipuana, expressed his confidence with this process carried out by the Victims Unit: “We are happy, we see in these Unit officials a sincerity with our people. We consider that everything that is being raised should remain in that characterization document and what we are pleased about is that it is consulted with ourselves and not arbitrarily in other settings”.
This process of protocolization of the PIRC with the Wayúu indigenous people of Nuevo Espinal reservation is scheduled to take place in coordination with the Ministry of the Interior on November 17.
