As part of the comprehensive collective repair plan, the 10 educational centers in La Balsita district received school furniture (modular tables, briefcases, workstations, chairs, boards, mobile bases, cans, storage furniture) worth 90 million pesos.

With this equipment, education conditions are improved for nearly 300 children and adolescents from 12 trails, the furthest four hours away from the urban area of the municipality. During the month of November the provision is completed with technological and kitchen equipment.

In this district, a day of collective duels was also held with the victim population to advance with the Entrelazando community rehabilitation strategy, which is developed with the protagonism of the victims who, due to their leadership, they formed as "weavers" to rebuild the social network affected by the violence of illegal armed groups and members of the public force.

Thanks to this strategy, peasant festivals, social gatherings and treats, sports tournaments between villages, musical groups and community action meetings have been recovered.

The collective reparation plan for these communities completes more than 70 percent with measures such as the strengthening of agricultural projects, reconstruction and provision of community booths, sports fields, bridges and cultural groups in various villages.

For the community leader Alberto de Jesús Herrera Úsuga, “with the collective reparation that has advanced in a large percentage, we are in the process of recovering from so many very hard years that we lived because of the conflict, which delayed us and is now taking us forward with our projects of life and recovering those social practices that we had and that were violated and violated”.

Due to the confrontation between armed groups, the population of La Balsita district suffered homicides, forced disappearances, kidnappings, confinements and the burning of 25 houses, among other events.

Added to this is the completion of the phase of characterization of the damage caused by the armed conflict to the Embera indigenous community of the Choromandó reservation, in order to begin in November the phase of formulation of the measures of the Comprehensive Plan for Collective Reparation.

For a year, the victims of this community identified the damage to their social organization, territory and culture by bombings, murders, sexual violence, confinement, forced displacement, recruitment of minors, contamination with antipersonnel mines.

On the other hand, the victims of San José de Urama district benefit from the psychosocial strategy Tejiendonos, which as part of the actions of the return and relocation plan for the displaced population rebuilds the social network to integrate as a community in their territory in coexistence and with guarantees of non-repetition.
