Victims of Boyacá evaluate government commitments
During the Transitional Justice Committee, the Departmental Participation Table also set a calendar of activities until December and approved the work plan.
In Boyacá, monitoring of the implementation of the Victims Public Policy (PPV) continues, conferences in which mayors and representatives have been heard, and establishing the progress and delays in the actions contemplated to comply with the comprehensive care and reparation of the population affected by the conflict by local administrations and the departmental government.
In the most recent meeting held by the Departmental Board and the Ombudsman's Office, which was attended by 60 municipalities and Governor Ramiro Barragán, a report was rendered on the budget execution contemplated in the development plans for the victim population and the plan of I work until the end of 2020.
“Within the framework of the Territorial Committee for Transitional Justice, we analyzed and approved the work plan of the Table; everything was ready, we have two table sessions in October, in November an extraordinary and an ordinary session and in December an ordinary session to close the year”, said Bernardo Bustos, representative of the Table before the Transitional Justice Committee.
This Friday, October 23, the monitoring and evaluation sessions of the actions that are being executed by the governments in compliance with the programs and projects ended in order to guarantee the effective enjoyment of about 37.000 people who suffered the rigors of the conflict and who are the object of attention in this department.
Nelly González, coordinator of the Table, assured that “this is an exercise that arose as an initiative of the plenary and that is being carried out with the participation of the 123 mayors, the Government, the Ombudsman's Office, the Attorney General's Office and we as overseers responsible for the implementation of the PPV, which remained as a commitment in the development plans and territorial action plans”.
