Pitayó Shelter reported progress in the construction of Cabildo House

As part of the collective reparation process, the adaptation of that headquarters of this Nasa reservation in the municipality of Silvia continues, in order to recover spaces that had been lost due to the armed conflict in these territories.

Within the framework of the process of collective reparation of the Subject Pitayó Shelter, the construction of Cabildo House for this community is progressing, with an approximate investment of $ 369 million, in which the Victims Unit will provide this physical space that was affected by the armed conflict in this territory.

Miriam Janette Mostacilla Peña, governor of Pitayó reservation, highlighted the articulation with the Victims Committee of the territory and the Victims Unit. “This process is part of the reparation that as victims of conflict we rebuild and carry out with the State. The big house will be the meeting place for our community", he said.

For his part, the director in Cauca of the Victims Unit, Dan Harry Sánchez Cobo, stressed that “for this project, the entity supported with the delivery of construction materials and with the equipment of electrical networks, aware that this space of Congregation will strengthen all the consolidation of social and cultural process of this community”.

The official added that, in parallel, individual reparation processes, satisfaction measures, rehabilitation, restitution and guarantees of non-repetition are being carried out in these territories.
