More than 600 million pesos received victims in Cauca
Victims from 16 municipalities received their administrative compensation in recognition of the events experienced in the context of armed conflict in the department.
New days of administrative compensation to victims of conflict took place in Cauca, this time for 16 municipalities in the north and south of the department, where 68 families received monetary recognition from the Victims Unit for the events experienced in the middle of conflict in their territories and framed within Law 1448 of 2011.
The delivery took place in two days: the first in the municipal seat of Patía - El Bordo for victims residing in the south of the department and the second in the jurisdiction of Santander de Quilichao for the beneficiaries of the north of Cauca; On this occasion, more than 650 million pesos were delivered to people in general and prioritized routes, as established by the regulations.
In this regard, the territorial director in Cauca of the Victims Unit, Dan Harry Sánchez Cobo, stated that “we seek to reach the population affected by the conflict by providing advice on adequate investment of resources, so that all those repaired can develop life projects, according to their abilities and environment, guiding in the construction of their restorative dreams”.
For his part, José Noé Rengifo, one of the victims attending these deliveries, assured that “with this compensation I will seek to invest in my coffee project, buying machines to facilitate my work and to be more productive for me and my family”.
This new day covered the municipalities of Buenos Aires, Caldono, Corinto, Caloto, Miranda, Puerto Tejada, Suárez, Santander de Quilichao, Toribío, Patía Mercaderes, Balboa, Bolívar, Algeria and Sucre.
