Victims compensated in Urabá received an institutional offer within the framework of the Social Inclusion week
The inter-institutional conference was carried out by the Victims Unit and Social Prosperity, with the participation of the entities of the National System of Attention to Victims (SNARIV).
At the Regional Center for Attention to Victims of the Obrero neighborhood, in Apartadó, a day was held to deliver compensation to 94 victims of armed conflict, who received information from the institutional offer of Social Prosperity and Servicio Nacional de Aprendizaje (SENA).
The day, which had the support and involvement of the Mayor's Office of Apartadó, allowed access to the educational offer for the victims of armed conflict, in order to strengthen the knowledge and skills they require to undertake the labor and productive path.
These victims will be able to rebuild their projects and improve the living conditions that were affected by the armed conflict and the pandemic. $ 1.129 million were delivered in Apartadó, for a total of 559 indemnities in 10 municipalities of the Urabá subregion and in the Chocoano Darién for more than $ 5.300 million.
During the day, Elizabeth Granada Ríos, Urabá-Darién territorial director of the Unit, presented a balance in the management, recalling that, “as the coordinating entity of SNARIV, we have been working to reduce the effects caused by the pandemic, attending and responding to the needs of the victim population in conjunction with Social Prosperity, seeking to improve care for victims, contributing to overcoming conditions of vulnerability in the subregion", he said.
Likewise, she added, “since the beginning of the emergency, the Victims Unit has strengthened the telephone and virtual service channels to facilitate care for victims; more than 15.308 requests for updates and news in the registration system have been received in this territory, for a total of 145.422 services carried out”, stated Granada Ríos.
Likewise, the official said that “in an effort to reduce the vulnerability of the victims of conflict, during this year and during the pandemic in this territory, 26.200 humanitarian assistance transfers have been delivered to homes victims of forced displacement for a value greater than the $ 14.191 million, benefiting people who have deficiencies in accommodation or food”.
For his part, Robert Rivera, regional director of Social Prosperity, delivered family kits to the compensated victims and explained to them the institutional offer of its main programs such as Families in Action, Young People in Action, among other lines aimed at vulnerable populations of the subregion.
This inter-institutional day, in addition to the delivery of compensation, facilitated the approach of the institutions to the beneficiary population, orienting them towards the proper use of resources and the different lines of investment in addition to comprehensive reparation.
Finally, Carmenza ÁlVarez, one of the people who received the compensation said that "I am a beneficiary of families in their land and with the compensation my aspiration is to supply it and buy more merchandise to support my son who suffers from a disability; for that I thank God an al lof you for what was received today".
