More than $ 400 million in compensation were delivered to victims in Santa Marta
The day was carried out in compliance with the biosecurity protocols.
The Victims Unit delivered 86 letters of compensation, as a measure of individual reparation for a total of $ 407.197.850 million pesos to victims of the department of Magdalena by priority care route.
The seminar was held on September 24 and 25 and was attended by the Director of Registration and Information Management of the Unit, Emilio Hernández, who maintained a dialogue with the victims on the appropriate investment of resources and of the strategy "Don't believe everything you hear."
“We are generating this administrative compensation with a great effort, following the biosecurity measures so that you are calm and today you can finally receive your check letter and thus generate your comprehensive repair; We know that the compensation letter does not erase the victimizing event that you experienced, what we do through this letter is a contribution to improve your quality of life or generate an adequate investment of these resources” said Hernández.
For his part, the director of the Unit in Magdalena, Jair Diazgranados, indicated that “in compliance with all biosafety protocols, the Victims Unit in the department of Magdalena carried out a new day of delivery of compensation letters in the district of Santa Marta, this time the victims benefited are people over 74 years of age or older, with disabilities or catastrophic illnesses”.
Finally, Alberto Rangel, victim residing in Santa Marta and beneficiary of the compensation, assured that “I thank the Victims Unit that has given me the compensation, with this money I will buy a lot to make a house for all my family".
