The Victims Unit carry out institutional monitoring of initiatives for the 14 PDET municipalities of Chocó
The Victims Unit participated in the session, leading the work table on pillar eight, related to the reconciliation, coexistence and peace building.
In accordance with the initiatives proposed to be executed in the municipalities with Development Programs with a Territorial Approach (PDET) in Chocó, the Victims Unit accompanied the second promotion session for the region, in which the progress of these projects was presented.
With regard to the Unit, an initiative co-financed by the Ministry of the Interior was highlighted, aimed at training as multipliers a base group of the women's network in Bojayá on issues of human rights and access routes to rights. The construction and provision through the Multidonor Fund of school restaurants in rural Afro and indigenous communities was also relevant.
The deputy director general of the Victims Unit, Lorena Mesa, acted as moderator of the table on pillar eight, in which she made an outline of the progress made by the entities of the national order that are in charge of initiatives focused on reconciliation, coexistence and peace building.
Among the advances that could be presented are: comprehensive repair plans, feasibility of agricultural projects, infrastructure improvement, furniture endowments for health, education and sports centers.
