Virtual Cre-Ser strategy continues in the Coffee Region
The initiative is developed with minors victims of armed conflict between 6 and 12 years old, to promote self-esteem, recognition and empowerment.
The psychosocial professionals of the Victims Unit in the Coffee Region continue to make progress in the implementation of the Cre-Ser virtual psychosocial strategy, aimed at child victims of armed conflict who have their compensation resources assigned to a trust and who have not participated in strategies with a differential approach.
At the end of this month, this methodology will benefit at least 90 child victims of a group aged between 10 and 12 years, initially in the cities of Pereira, Armenia and Manizales, providing a virtual setting in which they can express themselves in front of their rights and duties as subjects of special attention, providing emotional tools and resources that promote self-esteem, recognition and empowerment.
"COVID-19 and social isolation measures have led us to generate new strategies to provide victims access to comprehensive reparation measures, achieving the institutional mission of attending and repairing, on this occasion, our boys and girls who are special subjects of accompaniment and with which we hope to be able to guide them so that they can make good use of their repair at the corresponding time and can exercise their leadership”, explained the territorial director Laura Moreno.
According to age, Virtual Cre-Ser is developed with two population groups: the first of them boys and girls from 6 to 9 years old and, the second, from 10 to 12 years old; The program is designed to be applied to groups of a maximum of 10 boys and girls, regardless of the fact of victimization suffered.
