In Caquetá and Huila they coordinate the reopening of centers and points of attention to victims

The mayors are studying the possible dates to resume face-to-face care in these places, with some restrictions and complying with sanitary measures.

The director of the Caquetá-Huila Territorial Victims Unit, Yhina Paola Lombana, indicated that in the next few days it is expected to start with face-to-face care at the regional victim care centers of these departments, keeping all the biosecurity protocols to in order to prevent the spread of COVID-19.

“To make effective the reopening of the points of attention, They have sent letters to the different mayors of the localities, in order to make the respective adjustments in terms of location and compliance with the biosecurity protocols established by the Ministry of Health. Our idea is to provide assertive care to people who suffered the rigors of the armed conflict and who have been requesting it”, explained the official.

He added that the work team has been getting ready, including counselors, who are those who directly assist the population in the procedures and care services in humanitarian care issues, updating of data and documents, programming of characterization interviews and in making the request for the compensation measure.

In the case of Florencia, capital of Caquetá, there is a notifier in charge of confirming to the citizen the administrative actions issued by the Unit in accordance with the requests of the victims. And the documentaries who are in charge of taking the compensation measure and documentation of cases of homicide, forced disappearance and personal injury.

As for the Florencia point, one of the areas with the greatest expectation of reopening by the community, the Mayor's Office has already been notified of the need to improve the facilities as it registers damage to the roof and humidity in several points.
