
Inter-institutional articulation achieves a new measure of satisfaction for the Ciénaga del Opón collective
The measure consists of the publication of a historical memory book on this village, located in the Magdalena Medio region.

In an early meeting between the Government of Santander and the Magdalena Medio territorial unit of the Victims Unit, Fabiana Irreño Beltrán, director of Comprehensive Attention to Victims of the departmental entity, confirmed the implementation of the satisfaction measure for the Ciénaga Collective Reparation Subject del Opón, consisting of the publication of a book of historical memory.
The text was completed in 2019 by the Magdalena Medio Development and Peace Program, within the framework of the accompaniment provided by this organization to the collective reparation route of this district of Barrancabermeja.
According to Amparo Chicué Cristancho, Magdalena Medio territorial director of the Unit for Victims, “for the publication of the book the Government of Santander left a budget of more than 16 million pesos, both in the Departmental Development Plan and in the Action Plan Territorial for 2020; So as it is a goal for this year, we started with the entire structuring of the project and we estimate that the document will be published next November”.
“As a Unit we were in charge of managing the publication and we are doing it; It is planned to print about 500 copies and we hope that it can be widely disseminated, so that it remains as a piece of historical memory not only of the victims of Magdalena Medio, but also of those of the department of Santander”, added the official.
Finally, Amparo Chicué assured that “this has been a great achievement in the advancement of the Comprehensive Plan for Collective Reparation of the subject Ciénaga del Opón, because it will be a piece of memory that the community has always wanted and is the fruit of an effort great work and the inter-institutional work of Magdalena Medio Peace and Development Program, the Government of Santander, the Victims Unit and the Delegate Attorney's Office for Monitoring the Peace Agreement.
The meeting in which the implementation of this satisfaction measure was defined and which was developed virtually, was attended by Diana Ruidiaz, from the Victims Unit Magdalena Medio territorial, Fabiana Irreño, director of Victims of the Government of Santander, and César Gómez of the Andamios Corporation, logistics operator of the departmental entity.
