For Amparo Chicué Cristancho, Magdalena Medio territorial director of the Victims Unit, the meeting spoke of two measures that need to be implemented and that are related to the reconstruction of Las Morrocoyas bridge and the printing of a historical memory document.
“What we are looking for with the meeting is that these measures are included in the Territorial Action Plan (PAT) that is being built in the department of Santander and to see specifically in which program they would be reflected in the Development Plan. Finally, the conclusion was reached that these measures can be managed through a program called 'Always for the Victims', which is part of the departmental development plan”, added the official.
In the same way, the director of the Unit in Magdalena Medio indicated that the entity committed to preparing an estimated budget on the estimated cost of printing the aforementioned historical memory book, so that the Government begins to include said item in the PAT.
It should be noted that Las Morrocoyas bridge, which connects the Ciénaga del Opón district with Simacota municipality, was destroyed by illegal armed actors and the measure seeks to rebuild it.
