The Victims Unit delivers compensation despite the pandemic, in Chocó
The delivery of the administrative compensation measure is carried out in several municipalities of the department, complying with the biosafety requirements.
The Victims Unit, in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, continues to benefit its population in the department of Chocó; this time, delivering administrative compensation measures to 32 people who are within the priority route, that is, people with 74 years or more, people with disabilities and people with ruinous or serious diseases.
"Given that the situation in our region is delicate due to the high number of infections and due to the measures adopted by local leaders, which did not allow these people to move to Quibdó, we made the decision to go to these municipalities and personally notify the people who benefited from this cut", said the territorial director Chocó, Vanessa Palacios.
The officials of the entity mobilized to the municipalities of Tadó and Condoto, applying biosecurity to avoid risks of contagion, which allows the protection of these beneficiary families and their own. "In this sense, and despite the pandemic, the territorial Chocó continues to comply with the victims of armed conflict in this region of the country", added Palacios.
On this occasion, the total amount delivered by the Victims Unit was $ 700 million, which will serve for the integral reparation of people who suffered acts of victimization in some communities that were hit by violence.
