3,276 victims have been compensated during the health emergency, in Cauca
Survivors of the armed conflict in 38 municipalities received their letters of administrative compensation from the Victims Unit.

Under the health protocols required in the framework of the pandemic, the Victims Unit delivered compensation letters to 3.276 survivors of armed conflict prioritized by disability, age and / or major complex diseases from 38 municipalities in the department of Cauca, for a value greater than 25.000 million pesos.
These new deliveries were made to the municipalities of Almaguer, Algeria, Balboa, Bolívar, Florencia, La Vega, Mercaderes, Patía, San Sebastián, Santa Rosa, Cajibío, El Tambo, La Sierra, Morales, Piendamó, Popayán, Rosas, Sotará, Timbío, Inzá, Páez, Puracé, Silvia, Totoró, Buenos Aires, Caloto, Corinto, Guachené, Miranda, Padilla, Puerto Tejada, Santander de Quilichao, Suárez, Villarrica, Caldono, Jámbaló, Toribío, López de Micay, Timbiquí and Guapi.
Dan Harry Sánchez Cobo, territorial director of the Victims Unit in Cauca, stressed that "these actions reaffirm responsibility with the survivors of conflict in Cauca, reaching different municipalities to avoid people having to move to places more long. Without a doubt, for the entity it is a constant commitment to advance in the integral reparation of all victims of the territory”.
The official added that "the process of delivery of the administrative orders was adapted to the situation generated during the health emergency, for this reason the collection period for the letters was also extended until August 30, 2020, so that the victims have time to travel to the bank, complying with the parameters of peak and identity card of each territory".
