Women fighters and entrepreneurs, victims of violence in the context of the Colombian conflict, are the beneficiaries of the donation of 60 computers by Tecnalia Foundation and the Rent Advisor company, in a management led by the Central Territorial Directorate of the Victims Unit, in the departments of Boyacá, Cundinamarca, Tolima and Bogotá.

The delivery of technological aid is made after a targeting process by the professionals of the Unit, which basically takes into account the need of the beneficiary household, the condition of head of household and victim of conflict.

“This was really an emotional work that allowed us, in addition to recognizing the mothers during the month of May, to solve a heartfelt need for these women and their children in this time of pandemic in which the use of technology is the main tool for communication, work and academic training, "said María José Dangond David, director of the territory.

Julieth Rivera, a resident of the municipality of Sibaté in Cundinamarca, thanked the Unit, the Foundation and other actors who made this support possible, with which he assured, "we will be able to carry out work from home and study virtually".

For her part, Yuliana Perdomo, who has a production unit for the preparation of women's clothing, embroidery, design and rental of costumes, expressed the importance of having a computer for her micro-enterprise: “Really, for my business it is one more profit where I can keep all accounts and document management".

The targeting of these households in Boyacá was made in the municipalities of Sogamoso, Aquitania, Duitama, Tunja, Cómbita and Villa de Leyva, while the beneficiary families in Cundinamarca were from Sibaté and two women's organizations from Bogotá. In Tolima, the activity is in the selection phase of beneficiaries.
