216 proposals examined, to include Victims Public Policy in Territorial Development plans
According to a balance of the Unit, during the course of the health crisis and with special support to all the participation tables of the victims, the integral development of their work plans continues to be guaranteed
A total of 216 advocacy documents filed by the tables of Effective participation of Victims, for the inclusion of the Public Policy of Victims in the development plans of the country's territorial entities, were examined in the management of the Victims Unit during the health crisis caused by COVID-19, since the previous March.
This was revealed by a report from the entity with a court date of May 29, in which it is specified that these proposals include 178 municipal, 5 in capital cities, 32 departmental and one district.
The report highlights that the Unit guarantees the incidence and effective participation of victims in the agreed work plans and that it follows virtual and telephone actions at the municipal, district, departmental and national levels so that the public policy of victims is included in the Territorial Development Plans; so that there is a joint construction of the 2020-2023 certification criteria and an accompaniment in the development of the work plans of the departmental and municipal Victim Tables.
In the report, it stands out that during the isolation due to the health crisis, the Unit continues to accompany the victims and their strategies “have improved the articulation processes between the central level, DGI (including Participation Subdirectorate and Territory Nation Subdirectorate) and the DTs of Choco, Magdalena, Central, Norte de Santander, Antioquia, Valle del Cauca, Llanos Orientales and Arauca”.
It also records that in the support task, an extraordinary meeting was held of the Executive Committee of the National Table, in which the virtual logistics to be developed in the different spaces of participation and analyzing the Reform of the participation protocol, the Reform of Law 1448, the territorial certification, among others, were specified.
Regarding communications, the report also highlighted the work carried out with the Tables for the Effective Participation of Victims during the pandemic, with the sending of newsletters and news capsules to all regions, reporting the provision of services and care to guarantee compensation, humanitarian aid and technical assistance.
In this same sense, he recognized the dissemination of these messages in the territories to the survivors, to the links of the participation tables and the municipal representatives, on the continuity of the non-contact services and of the various missionary activities of the Unit throughout country.
