In compliance with the prevention protocols by COVID-19, the Victims Unit delivered compensation letters for more than $ 253 million to survivors of armed conflict in the Casanare department.

The beneficiaries were 36 people over 74 years of age (according to the Prioritization Resolution), from the municipalities of Aguazul, Hato Corozal, Maní, Monterrey, Orocué, Paz de Ariporo, Pore, Tauramena, Trinidad, Villanueva and Yopal.

Regarding the delivery of these resources, the director of Meta and Llanos Orientales, Carlos Pardo Alezones, recalled that victims should not pay percentages, commissions or give votes to those who have promised to have promoted or interceded for the payment of their compensation, since the procedures before the Unit do not require intermediaries and are free.

In total, with a cut to last February 29, the Casanare department has 59,891 victims subject to care, of which 5,166 are over 61 years of age.
