With the delivery of resources close to 5,000 million pesos,  reparation for survivors of conflict in Bolívar advances.

"We continue with the deliveries in the department, they are resources that, although not repairing the damage caused by the conflict, contribute to the improvement of the quality of life, especially for the elderly prioritized for compensation", said the territorial director of the Victims Unit in Bolívar and San Andrés, Miledy Galeano Paz.

So far this year 2020, seven days have been held in the municipalities located in Montes de María and Cartagena, benefiting more than 400 people who meet the prioritization criteria established resolution 1049 of 2019 regarding care of people over 74, in a situation of disability and with ruinous, catastrophic or high-cost diseases.

During the conference, financial education talks are given, so that the survivors can make good use of the resources and the anti-fraud strategy is developed, advanced by the Unit in order to avoid intermediaries in the processes and payments of procedures, these being provided for free.

Many of the people who receive their compensation will invest in the improvement of their home: "I want to improve the house, the house and also to give it to the family", said María Benavides, a resident of El Carmen de Bolívar.

"Improve the home where I live and buy some animals", said Augusto Díaz. Another of the beneficiaries with the economic reparation.

The conference, which is accompanied by the municipal mayors and the Agrarian Bank, will continue in the municipalities of the North zone, La Mojana Bolivar.
