51 survivors of conflict in Córdoba were compensated

Compensation letters delivered, according to Mareila Burgos, territorial director, amount to 387 million pesos, which contribute to improving the living conditions of victims in this department.

A total of 51 victims of the municipality of Montelíbano, were compensated by the Territorial Córdoba of Victims Unit, in a meeting led by the director Mareila Burgos.

Burgos explained that the administrative compensation letters delivered to the survivors of armed conflict are worth 387 million pesos.

According to the territorial director, during the compensation process, the beneficiaries were stressed about the importance of taking into account the recommendations of Unit when investing the resources received.

According to Burgos, the delivery retained the priority established by resolution 1049 of the previous year, in the sense that indemnifying citizens over 74 years and people with disabilities or catastrophic diseases, in order to improve the living conditions of this people.

“The first thing is that the talk of the compensation that I have received, I am going to invest in a small house that I have and many things missing into it. I would like everything to be ready, but I think it will not be fixed, but it already helps me to get there with my family there and a little bit for some productivity and to give me some revenue on that talk”, said Ernesto Manuel Montalvo, one of the survivors benefited.

The director also indicated that on the day of compensation for the victims of Montelíbano, the mayor of the municipality, José David Cura, was present, who was accompanied by the social manager.
