274 victims of armed conflict in Santander will receive nearly 1,400 million pesos
This money can be invested in education, housing and productive projects.

The Victims Unit delivered 274 letters of compensation to the victims of armed conflict in the department of Santander, for a value close to 1,400 million pesos.
According to Law 1448, which seeks to mitigate the events experienced by the victims, these people, in addition to receiving this economic benefit, will have the guidance of the entity and its team of Adequate Investment of Resources (IAR), so that the use of this money is preferably invested in housing, education or productive projects.
"Within the work that we develop in the Unit, there is psychosocial support, which provides more personal support and thus with this help, the affected person can overcome this situation and advance in their life project", said the territorial director in Santander, Gonzalo García Bautista.
In order to be a beneficiary of these compensations, some of the requirements that these persons must meet are: to be officially recognized as victims, to be registered in the Unified Victim Registry (RUV) and to have the original identity card when receiving these administrative reparations.
The awarding of indemnities took place at the Pedro Gómez Valderrama Auditorium of the Gabriel Turbay Public Library, in Bucaramanga.
