
In Arauca, measures to reparation the artistic community are strengthened
Forty people, including children, youth and adults, benefited from the delivery of the referenced material to expand and strengthen musical activities.

With the delivery of technological equipment, musical instruments, crafts and clothing, the Victims Unit carried out an accompaniment to the Chambaku artistic community in the city of Arauca.
This population is settled in the sector known as Olímpiko, characterized by the large number of displaced families that inhabit the area and that today undertake various projects and activities in the process of reconstruction of social fabric.
Music, represented in folklore, is one of the initiatives that the Chambaku artistic community carries out in this department where, through lyrics and sounds, they express the feelings of a people that today grows in knowledge and culture. Forty people, including children, youth and adults were benefited with the delivery of the referenced material to expand and strengthen their art.
The territorial director of the Victims Unit in Norte de Santander and Arauca, Alicia María Rojas, highlighted the empowerment of the population by music and the way in which the initiative is developed among a group of people who, in the midst of their conditions of life they see in music a lifestyle that contributes to the cultural. "We are present as an entity, supporting these communities that continue to give us examples of improvement and example through these cultural expressions with which all generations come together for the love of art leaving behind the aftermath of violence".
The delivery process is framed within the measures of integral reparation, satisfaction and guarantees of non-repetition. The activity was attended and accompanied by representatives of IOM and USAID.
