Massive compensation day for victims in Cali

The Victims Unit delivered 185 letters of compensation to victims of the Colombian armed conflict in Cali. With this day, ended a successful week in Valle del Cauca, where 410 letters of compensation were delivered, especially to adults over 74 years, for a value of 3,210 million pesos.

A total of 185 victims of the Colombian armed conflict were summoned in Cali to receive their letters of administrative compensation, with which the National Government and the Victims Unit, continue contributing to the integral reparation of all the people who have suffered because of war.

It was a massive event held in the auditorium of Jairo Varela plaza, at the downtown, where the beneficiaries of this measure, mostly adults over 74 years old, attended, as established by the decree that prioritizes the victims of conflict.

Luz Adriana Toro Velez, territorial director of the entity in Valle del Cauca, indicated that the indemnities given this Saturday in Cali, exceeded 1,450 million pesos, and attended, not only people from Cali, but also from Jamundí, Dagua, Palmira , Candelaria, El Cerrito and La Cumbre.

One of the victims benefited is Fanny Cruz, who stressed that, "it is very important that they take us into account, the elders, so that they give us what belongs to us. The good treatment and that this is a fast lap is very good ".

For his part, Enrique Ardila, director of integral reparation of the Victims Unit, said that with this massive act closes an important week in Valle del Cauca, "in which we delivered a total of 410 letters of compensation, with two days that were also held in Buenaventura and Tuluá. In total, it was $ 3.210 million what we delivered in this department in the last days".

On this day the attendees also received an orientation talk for the adequate investment of resources.
