Victims of Conflict showed their entrepreneurship products in CONSTRUYENDO PAÍS workshop
Food, agricultural, artisanal and artistic products created by the victims of conflict, were part of the commercial showcase in the Construyendo País workshop in Aracataca, Magdalena. The traveling logs were also exhibited at said event.
The workshop CONSTRUYENDO PAÍS No. 26, led by the President of the Republic Iván Duque Márquez, was held in Aracataca, Magdalena, this Saturday, in an open dialogue with the community and the State.
Different spokespersons of community of the municipality and the department, presented their needs to the executive on issues related to health, housing, infrastructure, equity and gender, older adult, among others.
Within the framework of this day, a group of victims of conflict carried out a sample of agricultural, artisanal and gastronomic producers in a commercial and entrepreneurial showcase thanks to the strategy of Integral Reparation Coexistence and Peace of Victims Unit and the support from other entities such as the Land Restitution Unit, the Ministry of Agriculture, the PADF and the support of the International Organization for Migration.
President Iván Duque, accompanied by the Unit Director, Ramón Rodríguez Andrade, had the opportunity to appreciate the different products and to receive some gifts from the victims.
During this visit, the survivors of conflict made known the Travel Journals, in which the memory of the affectations of victims and the process of emotional recovery and resilience were recorded. A guitar, fruits and vegetables, were also delivered as presents to the Colombians president.
Likewise, members of public forces who were victims of war, gave the homeland prayer with a special adaptation on the effects of violence as heroes of the country.
"The emotional recovery is part of the integral reparation process with the objective of mitigating the psychosocial and moral affectations of the victims of conflict and their families", explained Ramón Rodríguez, director of Unit.
In total there were 5 projects of undertakings, 4 logs and the homeland prayer which was part of this commercial showcase by the victims of conflict.
Each of these elements accompanied the activity organized in this region. The next country building workshop will be held in Timbío (Cauca) on April 13 and on the 27th of the same month in the city of Pereira (Risaralda).
