The Victims Unit will hold nine days to compensate, dignify and guide these survivors of the conflict to invest well resources for $ 7,694 million.

With the delivery of economic compensation to 123 people, this Friday in the municipality of San Rafael, the Unit for Attention and Integral Reparation for Victims initiates 9 days to compensate during March to 775 survivors of armed conflict in Antioquia.

They will participate in a symbolic act in recognition of victimizing acts suffered such as homicide and forced disappearance of relatives, kidnapping, forced displacement, terrorist acts and sexual violence, among other crimes.

The director of Unit for the Reparation of Victims in Antioquia, Wilson Córdoba Mena, reported that "these survivors of conflict also benefit from other measures such as psychosocial care and receive guidance on the adequate investment of the $ 7,694 million they receive in total this month as part of their integral reparation".

To this end, they are oriented to allocate these resources for the purchase or improvement of housing, start or strengthening of productive projects, savings and for higher education.

During the seven years of implementation of Law 1448, the Unit for Comprehensive Attention and Reparation for Victims has delivered economic compensation to 962,815 survivors of  armed conflict in Colombia, with an investment of 5.95 trillion pesos. Of these, 229,851 victims benefited from this measure in Antioquia.

The entity informs the population affected by armed conflict that these measures of reparation and procedures before the entity are free, do not have to pay for these steps to processors and thus avoid being deceived.
