
Community of Sabaleta reserevation receives endowment and exalts cultural traditions
The delivery of computer equipment, school furniture and clothing machines, becomes part of a productive process that will allow this indigenous community of Chocó to cope with the impact and damage caused by violence.


At the rhythm of traditional dance and music, and with a sample of wood carvings and typical baskets, the indigenous community of Sabaleta reservation, in the municipality of Carmen de Atrato, of Chocó, exalted their customs during the cultural event closing the day in the Victims Unit, in agreement with the World Bank, gave them supplies as a measure of satisfaction in the collective reparation process.
The event was held in the community house of the village where 500 inhabitants gathered, exhibited various crafts made by members of the community, and received school furniture, computers and clothing machines.
This indigenous community of Sabaleta is the largest and most organized in the municipality. According to the identification card of Collective Repair, the nuclear family is the basis of social organization; the heads of family and adults with more experience are the maximum authority and guides of life and daily life. They are the ones who assign places of cultivation, they define where to build the houses, times of work and everything that has to do with daily living.
Carlos Yagarí, governor of Sabaleta, expressed satisfaction: "we are focused on organizing the items delivered and very satisfied as a community with this delivery; We hope to continue in this dynamic of accompaniment that today benefits us as a community. "
