Victims Unit evaluates the implementation of the victim policy in Development Plans in Caquetá
Territorial Transitional Justice committees in the region seek to achieve goals for the benefit of the survivors of conflict.
The Victims Unit participated in six territorial Transitional Justice committees in Caquetá, in which the lines of Public Policy of Victims that were immersed in the development plans for the period 2020-2023 were known.
According to the territorial director of the Unit in Caquetá-Huila, Yhina Paola Lombana López, “both the Government of Caquetá and the mayors of the department reported on the way in which the budgets were stipulated, to fulfill the competences of the territorial entities in matter of reparation to victims for the 2020 period”.
"In the course of these virtual meetings, the commitment of the institutionality to work in an articulated manner in the offer was ratified, to really improve the quality of life of victims in the territory, with the materialization of guarantees in the short, medium and long term”, added the official.
Likewise, during the committees, the Unit emphasized the need to comply with the strategies established in the action plans, so that it really responds to the need for differential attention for the population surviving the conflict in the different dependencies of the administrations, in order to provide comprehensive care, assistance and reparation to the victim population.
"Right now, we will continue with technical assistance for the formulation of the Territorial Action Plan (PAT), a document that indicates the actions of each territorial entity for the victim population and that follows from the lines that were set forth in the development plans" Lombana pointed out.
Territorial Transitional Justice committees were held in the municipalities of Florencia, Albania, Curillo, Solita, El Paujil, La Montañita and with the Caquetá Government.
