The National Award is a recognition of the most competitive organizations in the country, in accordance with the National Model of Excellence and Innovation.
This Wednesday the director of the Unit for Comprehensive Attention and Reparation to Victims, Ramón Alberto Rodríguez Andrade, received for the entity the National Award for Excellence and Innovation in Management, which seeks to publicly recognize organizations that demonstrate high levels of competitiveness and innovation in its management.
Rodríguez thanked the Victims Unit for the distinction: “In such a complex year for the world and our country, due to the health emergency caused by COVID-19, and the recognition we receive today is an incentive to continue with all enthusiasm in the fulfillment of our duties towards the victim population”.
The director of the Unit said that, as the entity in charge of carrying out the process of care, assistance and comprehensive reparation for the more than eight million victims of armed conflict, “it is a great honor to have obtained the National Award for Excellence and Innovation and Management, this year being the second consecutive year in the NEIG application”.
For the official, the participation in recent years in the National Award for Excellence and Innovation in Management "has prompted the Unit to continually improve the processes it implements at the national and territorial level".
“Receiving the award is a great opportunity and, at the same time, a great responsibility in the constant challenge, to better serve the victim population. The search for excellence is a path that is followed day by day with commitment, clarity and great effort on the part of the entire human team of the Unit throughout Colombia”, stated the CEO.
In the opinion of the manager, the Unit has a greater challenge in the head of the President of the Republic “and is to be able to have attention in all the departments of the country, through our points of attention and regional centers and also advance in the payment of the largest number of compensation administrative services in this Government". "The Unit has continuously improved its processes, has improved its response times, has innovated in virtual and telephone assistance, which as a result of the pandemic has allowed us not to stop the attention to the population victim”, he added.
“The next decade, now with the extension of the Victims Law recently approved by the Congress of the Republic, will impose on us new challenges and greater challenges, which are assumed with humility and with hearts full of affection for the human team of the Unit and for all the families who expect comprehensive care and reparation”, added Rodríguez Andrade.
Finally, the director said that the entity will continue to advance on the path of excellence and "in this regard, our employees will continue with maximum commitment and improvement".
