A commercial expansion, new clients and business projection were some of the results obtained in Norte de Santander with the First Virtual Fair United for Victims held by the Victims Unit.

Handicrafts made with hemp (sandals, earrings, bracelets, among others), goldsmiths (jewelry) and clothing for children and adults were the products that participated by Norte de Santander in this activity framed by new technologies, amidst the conditions generated by COVID-19.

The territorial director of the Victims Unit in Norte de Santander and Arauca, Alicia María Rojas Pérez, highlighted the work of the people affected by the armed conflict who today with their undertakings are committed to change, improvement and social transformation: “It is It is very gratifying to see the growth of these three people who started from scratch, but with the will and a firm purpose of growth". "Today we see all that effort reflected and therefore, from the Victims Unit we will continue to support them to consolidate those initiatives of business that contribute to improve their living conditions. They are an example of resilience, they are reactivating the local and regional economy with the use of technology, learning and training in this field to open new trade routes with quality products made by themselves”, she explained.

“I want to thank the Victims Unit for this opportunity that they gave us to participate in this first virtual fair, thank God I obtained sales, I achieved clients, more than sales are the clients that I managed to achieve. Also very grateful for these conferences that we received since they are of great importance for our undertaking”.

“Thanks to the Unit for taking me into account in this activity where it gave me the opportunity to become known as a 360 Crafts company. We had a different expectation that it was to sell through the virtual part but we did not have the knowledge that it was to sell through a page and due to the consultants, who have given us, they taught me how to mount the photos to what extent it is done and how to make a cover letter. Thanks to the Unit because it is really, at this moment, where we need it and they are giving us that support that we need so much”.

From their homes with a physical and technological adaptation carried out by the Victims Unit, the entrepreneurs captivated their clients by creating tools to continue with virtual sales as a way to strengthen their business processes, reaching more people and in order to strengthen their business initiatives.
