Entrepreneurial victims in Quindío, an example to follow
Despite the circumstances and the wounds left in many of them by the armed conflict, two victims who arrived from other parts of the national territory seeking new opportunities in Quindío, ended up staying, nurturing new dreams and hopes.
Two victims of the armed conflict, entrepreneurs, who live in the department of Quindío, participated in the discussion "The importance of emotional recovery in processes of reconstruction and economic sustainability", organized by the Unit for Victims within the framework of the United Virtual Fair for the Victims.
Aideé Rodríguez from Lácteos Génova and Francia Mosquera from Estilo Pacífico, were the two brave and enterprising women victims who, representing the department of Quindío, participated in this discussion led by Aida Solano Espinosa, coordinator of the Psychosocial Focus group and moderated by Eva Teresa Valencia, psychologist, specialist in action without harm and peacebuilding.
Nicolás Pinzón Godoy, from Bogotá, graduated from Colegio de Estudios Superiores de Administración (CESA), with a double degree from the University Rouen Business School (France), in International Business and Finance, in addition to a master's degree in Marketing. deluxe. He has worked at L'oreal Paris as Product Manager for the entire North American region and Co-Founder Colbrand International.
"This is a process in which we all have to put the best energy, the emotional issue is vital, you have to be well with yourself to meet the objectives we have proposed, another fundamental thing to be able to undertake is academic training, already Later, with experience, you perfect yourself along the way, but you have to fulfill dreams and not let yourself be overcome by fears, learn from failure, that is why I feel a lot of admiration for these victims who go through circumstances they decide to undertake, they are very difficult situations even imagining and having the courage to move forward is not for everyone”, argued Pinzón Godoy.
In a country like Colombia, more than eight million victims are part of that human talent, who continue on, striving to maintain themselves or successfully incorporate themselves into the country's productive chain, in areas and forms of production that were perhaps unknown to them or to which he had not prepared for as they were not part of his life plan before suffering the violence.
For her part, Aida Solano, commented: “I have had the fortune of living together with many victims of armed conflict this experience of beginning emotional recovery, they are truly surprising cases of resilience, in addition, over the years we are very satisfied to see that some of them decide to undertake, there emotional and mental health determines the course we can take in our lives, the victims require special care, the psychosocial issue is a cross-cutting issue that accompanies all the processes implemented by the Unit, it is something that we have everything incorporated and the victims have recognized it”.
The psychological and emotional well-being of each person in a society contributes to guaranteeing the strength and sustainability of any business project, where the commercial processes of the victims of the conflict provide vital elements in the reconstruction of the social network of the communities in which they arise these initiatives, giving a place to reconciliation, coexistence and the construction of peace with legality.

“Honestly, I have a lot to thank the Unit and the psychosocial approach, all these processes experienced, such as the “Entrelazándonos” strategy, have changed our lives a lot. In Genova we have lost the fear of expressing ourselves and we have decided to undertake, we already socialize with the other victims more easily and our children and grandchildren are empowering themselves from the processes", said Aideé Rodríguez.
