The Director of Registration and Information Management of the Unit for Victims took office

Emilio Hernández took office today as the new Director of Registration and Information Management.

From today, Emilio Alberto Hernández, assumes the challenge of maintaining the quality of the Unique Victims Registry and information systems for the implementation of the assistance, care and reparation policy for victims.

Emilio is a lawyer at the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana, a specialist in Public Management and has a Master´s Degree in Economic Law and Public Law. Since September 2019 he served as the Deputy Director of Valuation and Registration of the entity that is the fundamental axis of the information systems. Today he assumes the important task of being in charge of the Directorate of Registration and Information Management.

According to his new role, the director said that the management will focus on maintaining the confidence of the citizens in the quality of the data and the registry. He also added that "it is necessary to" work jointly with the information bridges to maintain said information in a truthful way before the entire victim population". And finally, he said to continue with the administrative process of exclusions to debug the Unique Victims Registry.

The new director has held advisor positions in public entities and private companies, however, his greatest experience has been in the public sector.
