The strategy of comprehensive reparations for women victims of sexual violence in the Urabá region gave another step in Apartadó, where 19 victims participated in a dignifying event held in hotel Digmaran. All of them intervened in the symbolic event, and received guidance on institutional offer of the National System for the Attention and Comprehensive Reparation of Victims.

‘This is an opportunity to express ourselves. I can say my life breaks into two parts: before, and now. Now I’m improving myself,’ said María Helena Sánchez, one of the participants. Thanks to these activities, the Victims Unit provides psychosocial accompaniment, and seeks to know the current situation of their households, so as a comprehensive support can be provided.
