In Bogotá, Victims Unit will deliver in August more than $ 4 billion in humanitarian aid and compensation
The director of the Victims Unit announced that during the month of August, more than $ 2 billion in humanitarian aid and more than $ 2.1 billion in compensation will be delivered to localities such as Suba, Chapinero and Rafael Uribe.
Within the framework of the 35 Country Building Workshop led by President Iván Duque, the Unit for comprehensive care and reparation for Victims heads the director Ramón Rodríguez announced that during the month of August “3,208 turns will be made to the survivors of conflict for a value of $ 2,077 million, for the concept of Humanitarian Attention in the city of Bogotá”.
Likewise, the head of entity revealed that “474 administrative compensation will be delivered for a value of $ 2,882 million in the department of Cundinamarca, of which 384 administrative compensation for a value of $2,137 million will be delivered to locations such as Suba, Chapinero and Rafael Uribe”.
On the other hand, the Victims Unit will participate in the Intersectoral Commission for Rapid Response to Early Alerts (CIPRAT) in order to evaluate the Entity's actions against Early Warning 023-19 on the presence of armed groups raised by the Ombudsman with extension to the towns of Fontibón and Engativá.
As part of the activities carried out during the Building Country (Construyendo País) Workshop, the unit director Ramón Rodríguez, the director of the Department of Social Prosperity Susana Correa, national and district government officials and participants in general were able to visit the tent “La andariega” in which victims of conflict in reparation process had the opportunity to show the different productive projects.
