Victim population attended the day of care in Puerto Guzmán (Putumayo)
More than 180 survivors of the armed conflict attended the entity's invitation to receive advice on processes such as humanitarian assistance, individual reparation or registration news, among other issues.
The work team of the Victims Unit advanced in the scheduled care day in the municipality of Puerto Guzmán (Putumayo), an event that was supported by the City Hall and the Justice for Sustainable Peace Program of the agency of United States for Development (Usaid).
The survivors of the region attended to El Jardín neighborhood coliseum to receive personalized advice on the various programs and services led by the entity. They were also able to access the portfolio of services from Colpensiones and the Land Restitution Unit.
The day of care managed to facilitate the access of the victim population to the topics of interest most required by the community such as humanitarian aid and compensation.
It was the case of Marbel Plazas, a survivor of armed conflict in the region, who arrived at the colosseum with the interest of consulting on these two processes and after receiving the advice indicated that “excellent, very good attention, with these days we can be more informed and also because if one does not have the resources or the time to move here, all the procedures can be done”.
Another testimony was delivered by Rosalbina Rojas, who made a request for a point of attention to be arranged in this municipality because when attending the day, I can realize that the population requires that service.
“I realize that the population is super needy, because you will understand that sometimes poverty or the difficulty of leaving the countryside makes traveling to receive benefits very complicated. However, here in the colosseum it is an adequate and comfortable place for the community to feel protected and helped by the Unit staff”, said Rosalbina.
