Forty people a day, on average, are attending victim care points located in the municipalities of San Calixto and La Playa, in Norte de Santander, where they have made more than 800 requests and inquiries related to the status of their processes.

“We have a positive balance in the first fifteen days of reopening of these two service points where people come with an appointment that they previously request through the telephone lines that the territorial entities have set up and that allow us to control comprehensive care for our victims, avoiding crowds and responding to the queries, concerns and state of processes of our population", said the territorial director of the Victims Unit in Norte de Santander and Arauca, Alicia María Rojas Pérez.

The official pointed out that the inquiries of the population affected by the violence are to know the status of their processes related to the payment of compensation, humanitarian aid and updating of documents, among others. “We are complying with the biosecurity protocols established by the Ministry of Health. The mayors of the municipalities of San Calixto and La Playa, through their victim liaisons, have prioritized the assignment of professional and expert personnel in health issues who remain at the points of care, carrying out the pertinent procedures to preserve the health of our victims. and avoid the spread of covid-19, with hand washing with users, disinfection of footwear, temperature measurement and control of physical distancing, as protection measures and verifying the permanent use of the mask”, she explained.

Rojas Pérez added that, in accordance with the protocol presented to the health authorities, a daily care of 40 people was arranged at each point of care: “20 people are scheduled for care in the morning hours and 20 more for the day in the afternoon which allows us to give a direct, effective response to our population that, in many cases, does not have access to virtual channels or it is difficult for them to make inquiries through this means ”.
