The Unit delivered 400 food packages in Magdalena Medio

This time the beneficiaries are victims residing in the municipalities of Puerto Nare (Antioquia), Puerto Parra and Puerto Wilches (Santander) and Río Viejo (Bolívar).

In order to aid families who are victims of conflict in municipalities of Magdalena Medio, the Victims Unit allocated resources to bring a total of 400 food kits in recent days.

Deliveries were made in the municipalities of Puerto Nare (46 kits), Puerto Parra (102 kits), Puerto Wilches (102) and in Río Viejo (150) for a total of 400 food packages delivered in the last days in these four towns attached to Magdalena Medio territorial unit of the Victims Unit.

Deliveries were made in compliance with all biosafety protocols to avoid the spread of COVID-19 and the beneficiaries are people who are included in the Single Registry of Victims.

For Amparo Chicué Cristancho, director of the Victims Unit in Magdalena Medio, "with these deliveries, which we carry out in coordination with local authorities, we continue to serve the victims of our region who are experiencing difficulties due to the health emergency".  In addition, the official added that "the deliveries were articulated and accompanied by the mayors and municipal officials".

The packages provided by the Unit contain panela, oil, rice, salt, chocolate, pasta, tuna and flour, among other basic products.
