Victims in Santa Marta were commemorated with the National Day of Memory and Solidarity

With a view to April 9, National Day of Memory and Solidarity with Victims, the Magdalena Territorial Victims Unit will carry out a commemorative activity at the hands of the Foundation for Women, Peace, Faith and Hope.

Within the framework of the commemoration of the National Day of Memory and Solidarity with Victims, from Magdalena Territorial, a commemorative activity will be held with women victims of the Foundation for Women; Peace, Faith and Hope, led by three members of victim participation table.

In this space, attendees will highlight their process of resilience and peace during the years in their process of victim empowerment. Likewise, homage will be paid to Maritza Isabel Quiroz Leiva, peasant leader who was part of Santa Marta Victims Participation Table, murdered on January 6 in San Isidro, rural area of ​​Bonda in Santa Marta.

On the other hand, the women of the Foundation for Women, Peace, Faith and Hope will have a space in which they will participate in dynamic activities concerning the National Day of Memory and Solidarity with Victims and will present a video made by themselves giving testimony of their work.

The event organized by the psychosocial team in conjunction with the Foundation will include the participation of Territorial Director of the Victims Unit in Magdalena, Jair Diazgranados Corredor; Rina Gómez, lawyer and delegate of the Ombudsman's Office, and Juana María Dávila Hernández, legal representative of the Foundation for Women, Peace, Faith and Hope and active member of the District Victims' Board.
