San Vicente de Chucurí joined for human rights

The victim population of Santander municipality seeks that those who died during the armed conflict remain in the memory of all the inhabitants.

With a heartfelt act that accompanied the Victims Unit, the victim population of San Vicente de Chucurí, in Santander, commemorated Human Rights Day, with activities that seek to eliminate discrimination and violence in all social settings.

The day, which also featured the Mural of Memory, which remembers those who died during the conflict, was led by the municipal administration.

"Human rights are the basis of everything, we want to make a call against exclusion, discrimination and any act that violates the rights of human beings, every December 10 is an

opportunity to demonstrate it", said the Secretary of the Government of San Vicente de Chucurí, Sergio Ardila.

With posters and murals under the slogan "Strengthening Memory", difference and equality were honored as mechanisms to create a better society. The activities also had the support of the Victims Unit, which sent a message to the participants of the activity through the territorial director Santander Gonzalo García Bautista: “Peace is built every day, with a society that accepts the difference in the social scene, said the official.
