Indigenous communities in Florida (Valle) received attention on a special day

The Unit for Victims, together with Prosperidad Social and the Mayor's Office, participated in this activity within the framework of Inclusion Week.

A special day of attention focused on indigenous communities was held today in Florida, Valle del Cauca, in which the Victims Unit attended 180 people for orientation on procedures and documentation.

This activity, which was part of Inclusion Week, was held at Los Fundadores Coliseum and also had the participation of Prosperidad Social, as a leader in the inclusion sector, and the local Mayor's Office.

"It is very important for us to be here this week, in one of our three municipalities with Development Plans with a Territorial Approach (PDET), in which we are placing special emphasis on our actions", said Luz Adriana Toro Vélez, territorial director of the entity in Valle del Cauca.

The people assisted in the special day are part of the Nasa Kwe`s Kiwe, Nasa Tha, Triunfo Cristal Paez, San Juan Paez, Kwe`s Yu Kiwe, the Kwe`s Tata Kiwe council and the indigenous community of Los Pastos.

In Florida, there are an estimated 9.045 victims of armed conflict, which corresponds to 15.6% of the population.
