The Unit socialized the financial sector's offer for victims of the conflict, in Santander
In the meeting space with Finagro, the benefits that people registered in the Single Registry of Victims can access were announced.
Representatives, municipal liaisons and members of the tables of participation of victims of 32 municipalities of Santander, interacted with the team of the territorial unit of Santander and the Fund for the Financing of the Agricultural Sector (Finagro), in order to know the special line of credit offered to victims of conflict.
Rolando Monroy, director of credit and ICR of Finagro explained that through this alliance, two points of the interest rate of the credits that the financial intermediaries, or banking entities of the market, will grant to affected small, medium or large producers for the conflict and that they are registered in the Unique Registry or Victims (RUV).
"When the entrepreneur makes the request and the credit study and approval is done, the entrepreneur receives a discount on the interest rate, benefiting the cash flow, since he will invest less resources in the payment, which is 2 Annual cash%”, assured the Finagro official, an entity attached to the Ministry of Agriculture.
He added that the line is aimed at people who carry out activities related to productive projects related to the agricultural or fishing sector, or associated with mining, rural tourism or crafts, financing labor, construction of infrastructure, purchase of machinery and equipment, purchase of inputs or livestock.
For his part, Gonzalo García, territorial director of the Victims Unit, stated that, “we have developed a virtual accompaniment exercise in order that the information reaches all the municipalities of the Santander department, and that in this way, the victim population can strengthen their projects and improve their quality of life”.
García concluded that this is a way to motivate mayors who have resources to develop a coordinated exercise so that victims who are entrepreneurs and businessmen receive this support through other programs that the national government has prepared for them.
