Municipal links of Norte de Santander will guide young victims to obtain the digital military card

In the midst of the pandemic, the Victims Unit led, in conjunction with the three military districts of Norte de Santander, a training on access to the virtual platform of the Army Reserve Recruitment and Control Command.

A total of 40 municipal links of victims in Norte de Santander, were trained in completing the process to access the certification and / or digital military booklet of the young survivors of armed conflict.

The sessions, which took place virtually and by area with the Commanders of military districts 35 (Cúcuta), 36 (Pamplona) and 37 (Ocaña), allowed victims' links to know the steps and clarify doubts and concerns related to the process.

The entity's territorial director, Alicia María Rojas Pérez, highlighted the participation of the officials and their interest in helping to replicate the information in their territories. "In the midst of sanitary measures due to the COVID-19 pandemic, this articulation with the Army, through the Recruitment Command, was necessary to ensure that the municipal liaisons of victims spread the process that will allow our young victims of armed conflict access this document quickly, effectively, saving time, displacement and complying with a requirement demanded within the regulations for men", said the official.

For his part, Yeison Claro Pérez, victim liaison for the municipality of El Tarra, assured that “during the health emergency we have been working in accordance with the regulations issued to care for the victim population and we have carried out virtual trainings that have to do with requests for the population that needs to resolve their military situation".

"We have received formal training to transmit to young people who can register on the page www.libretamilitar.com, where they must attach the necessary documents and fill out the forms so that through Law 1448 they can receive the benefit of accessing the totally free military booklet”, added Yeison.

The virtual meetings were attended by the Secretariat of Peace and Post-conflict of Norte de Santander Governorate.
