Unit adopts measures to facilitate the payment of humanitarian aid to victims over 70 years of age
The victim of conflict belonging to this population group, may authorize a person to collect these resources, after complying with the requirements.
Within the measures contemplated by the Victims Unit, due to the health emergency in the country, the entity established measures to authorize the payment of humanitarian aid to people over 70 years of age.
These people who were informed of the payment of humanitarian attention by money orders by office and bank correspondents may issue an authorization with signature and fingerprint, so that preferably a relative or a trusted person can collect these resources. Since people who received information about the placement under the modality of payment to electronic savings account (CAE) can make the withdrawal at any ATM of the Banco Agrario.
The person or family member authorized to carry out the collection must go to the place where the beneficiary victim was notified by money order or correspondent of humanitarian aid. The authorized must carry his ID, the original authorization letter, as well as the original ID of the beneficiary over 70 years of age.
The authorized person must attach a photocopy of his ID and deliver it to the point of payment.
Without the fulfillment of these requirements the payment will NOT be able to be made.
On the other hand, the Victims Unit, in order to attend to the measures adopted and ordered in Decree 475 of March 22, 2020, used the modality of payment of humanitarian care through turn-around at bank offices and Correspondents and the payment to a savings account of the victim that is banked, with Banco Agrario of Colombia.
In this case, the victim will receive a message notifying that the value of humanitarian aid has been posted to his Banco Agrario account.
The director of the Victims Unit, Ramón Rodríguez, reminded all survivors of conflict that the procedures before the entity are free and do not need intermediaries.
