Victims may register and enroll at no cost at Universidad Nacional
Persons recognized in the Unique Victims Registry receive benefits for access to higher education in compliance with Law 1448
Since last January 21, victims of armed conflict can register at no cost to the admission process of Universidad Nacional, to start academic programs of this first semester.

Applicants must register the information requested in the following link http://www.admisiones.unal.edu.co/victimas/ and as a main requirement they must be included in the Unique Victims Registry, which will be verified by the educational institution, which will respond with a message confirming the receipt of your request and indicating the process to follow.
The National University also has the exemption of payment of the initial tuition for the victims that are admitted in the programs.
According to Wilson Córdoba Mena, director of Unit for Comprehensive Attention and Reparation for Victims in Antioquia, “these alliances facilitate education as a measure of their reparation so that people who suffered violence have more opportunities to live and overcome these facts".
Currently, the Unit has agreements with more than 20 institutions of higher education, technical or technological in Antioquia, through which discounts, credits and scholarships are granted that have benefited more than five thousand students.
Victims are also prioritized with the Reparation Fund for Access, Permanence and Graduation in Higher Education for Victims of Armed Conflict in Colombia, as a result of the agreement between the Ministry of Education n National, Icetex and the Unit for Comprehensive Care and Reparation for Victims.
