LGBTI population, girls, boys and adolescents victims, in the sights of the National Conversation

Lorena Mesa, deputy director of the Victims Unit confirmed that the interests of these populations and those of women victims were reviewed in the Gender Bureau of that national dialogue scenario.

The interests of women, the LGTBI population, children and adolescents victims of the country, were analyzed in the Gender Bureau of the new session of the Great National Conversation, held at Luis Ángel Arango library in Bogotá, in agreement with Lorena Mesa, deputy director of the Victims Unit.

“From the entity we participate in the Gender Table of the Great National Conversation in this Peace Table with Legality. There, the proposals related to Collective Reparation for LGTI population and prevention measures with women, for children and adolescents were discussed”, Mesa confirmed.

The deputy director said that the Unit explained to all participants in this National Dialogue, how progress has been made in each of these matters.

In her opinion, in the Gender Bureau, it has also been explained “how it is sought that during this year the participation protocol for young people can be established, for example, the effective participation of victims and more measures that have to do with everything related to gender”.
