In Medellín, 1,000 victims are assisted to advance in their reparation process

The day aims to obtain from the population the documents that for one reason or another do not rest on the technological platforms of the entity and is necessary to be able to move forward in the processes of the reparation route of the people registered in the Unique Victims Registry.

For two days, in the city of Medellín, the Victims Unit will be attending a single day around 1000 people who were previously summoned for the day of documentation of individual cases for administrative repair.

The day, held between Thursday 8 and Friday 9 August at the facilities of the North Terminal of the city, aims to obtain from the population documents that for one reason or another do not rest on the technological platforms of the entity and It is necessary to be able to advance in the processes of the reparation route of the persons registered in the Unique Victims Registry, pertinent documentation according to law 1448.

For Wilson Córdoba, director of the Unit for Victims in Antioquia, "it is important for the population to attend these conferences and also that the entity can generate progress in the reception and systematization of these documents".

The official added that “the Victims Unit has delivered more than 990 thousand economic compensation to survivors of armed conflict in Colombia, of which just over 236 thousand are in Antioquia and have received a total of 1.6 billion pesos. Throughout the repair process, the entity has invested 2.6 billion pesos in the department”.

In the implementation of the Victims Law, the Unit has allocated a total of 11.4 billion pesos throughout the country.
